Quotes

We are very pleased that the Chekhov Anniversary Tour to Yalta was a great success and we would like to share some quotes from people who came with us:

Nothing could surpass visiting the White Dacha, which has been a lifetime's dream. – Jane Gerson

Seeing Chekhov’s sister's room was very moving and special. – Sally Smith

The Chekhov experience was outstanding. – Mary Pyke

Wonderful to see the leather coat, pens and pencils and Masha’s room and to meet Alla. – Marylin Johnstone

It was wonderful to visit Chekhov’s house and seaside dacha, and to meet Alla at the house. Quite extraordinary to think she’d looked after Masha Chekhova. Talk about six degrees of separation – a mere 3 separated us from him! - Ade Thomas

Each day seemed better than the one before - such surprises, such treats. The emotion engendered by being in Chekhov’s space. Rosamund’s interpretations throughout made it exceedingly personal and individual. It really held the whole thing to the highest standard feeling that she too was having a unique and mind stretching experience. – Caroline Blakiston

Illustrated Chekhov tour diary is available from the Exeter International company.
